Reflections

One of these special requests goes back to last October at the Festival of Crafts. At that event, I was approached by a lady who asked if I did custom work. Whenever anybody asked me that question my immediate response is yes I love challenges.

She went on to explain to me that her senior father had wanted to build some custom saddle stands. Over the years he had collected a number of Saddles, some custom builds, that he was very proud of and wanted to display them appropriately. He had procurred the wood sometime ago and just didn’t get around to building these projects. Now, he was unable to build these on his own. after hearing her story, I said that I would be pleased to build those, but that I wouldn’t have time until sometime in the new year as I was busy with Christmas projects and various markets and shows. we had agreed that she would contact me in the new year to discuss these further and go from there.
